December 7 — 11 · Four Nights
Spanish moss, gas lamps, and a holiday market on the river. A slow four nights in the historic district — handpicked, lightly planned, all yours.
Cobblestones underfoot, oysters and pralines on the table, and the Savannah River glowing with a million Christmas lights. This is the city at its most generous — and we're meeting it on foot.
The Days
Loose by design. Reservations and tours are held; everything else is yours to wander into.
Sunday · Dec 7
Check in to The Douglas in the heart of the historic district. Settle in, then a leisurely welcome dinner nearby — reservation held (dinner on your own).
Monday · Dec 8
Breakfast at the hotel, then a guided afternoon tasting tour through Savannah's oldest squares — Lowcountry classics, praline lore, and stories of the city.
Tuesday · Dec 9
Your trolley pass is active all day. Loop through 15+ historic stops — Forsyth Park, City Market, the riverfront — and step off wherever you please.
Wednesday · Dec 10
Walk to River Street and end the evening at the Plant Riverside Christmas Market — twinkling lights along the Savannah River, makers, music, and mulled everything.
Thursday · Dec 11
One last breakfast at The Douglas and a slow morning before checkout. Safe travels home.
